Information for Social Workers and Solicitors
Thank you for visiting The Blossom Family Centre website. We take family assessment referrals from Local Authorities, Courts and Social Care Departments.

Our Residential Family Assistance Centres provide robust, fair and evidence-based assessments of parenting skills and capability for local authorities and the courts.

Our Assisted Living Accommodation provides help and assistant social worker parental type help for young homeless people, aged typically between 16 and 25, who need living help and guidance to ‘make-it’ in the outside world.

We recommend assessments that typically run between 12 and 16 weeks. Shorter assessments are available, and we will of course immediately terminate an assessment at any point if this is deemed necessary to protect the child/children.

We run family assessments for up to three concurrent residential families, but we can provide non-residential assessments too.

We have assisted living accommodation for four people at any one time.
We work very closely with you before, during and after the assessment providing regular updates and a final assessment report that details the assessment and recommended actions.
